4th Watch: Praise, Prayer, & Worship

About The 4th Watch: Praise, Prayer, & Worship Ministry

“Watch and pray, live holy every day” – was the benediction for many services I attended as a child.

The 4th Watch is an Heir Force Ministry that promotes praise, prayer, and worship. We believe that there are some situations that only change in the face of prayer and fasting. The 4th Watch is an invitation to step into a time of devoted consecration through prayer, fasting, praise, and worship. Our purpose is to 1.) abide in the realm of the Holy Spirit; and 2.) affect positive change in our lives, our communities, and the world.

We are world changers, working with the Almighty God to break the chains of bondage and cast down generational curses. Join us in a purposeful effort to let the Holy Spirit intervene in our daily lives and the situations and circumstances that matter to us and to all people. You can follow along in praise, prayer, and worship by watching and reading posts in the 4th Watch category, posted on the front page and in the feed below.

Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak. Matthew 26:41

Join us in standing in the gap for the souls of this nation and the world.

The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16b AMP

What Is A 4th Watch?

From the book, The Tenth (Day 3)…

In Biblical Roman times, they divided the hours of the night into three-hour intervals beginning at 6 PM. Thus, the first three watches of the night were 6 PM to 9 PM, 9 PM to 12 Midnight, and Midnight to 3 AM. The “Fourth Watch” was the last watch of the night, from 3 AM to 6 AM. The Jews adopted these time divisions and set the guard in array… Whether you spend an hour or a second on any occupation, you can never get that moment or group of moments back because time is fleeting and irreplaceable. In other words, your time is priceless. Allotting such a hot commodity may require changing your comfortable routines. God is looking for someone with uncommon faith, to bless and equip for HIS mission of saving the world.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14
