Redemption

Because of the original sin in the Garden of Eden, man was separated from God against His will. God loved His creation so much that He provided a means for our sins to be atoned, allowing us to live with Him again. Initially, the rule was that the firstborn male of every family would be consecrated to the office of the priesthood. Later, a detailed strategy of redemption called for burnt offering and sacrifices, and God instituted the Levitical Priesthood, wherein only the Levites were approved to perform the offices of the Priests.

¹¹ And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying, ¹² And I, behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn that openeth the matrix among the children of Israel: therefore the Levites shall be mine; ¹³ Because all the firstborn are mine; for on the day that I smote all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I hallowed unto me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and beast: mine shall they be: I am the Lord. Numbers 3:11-13

After this, God called for every firstborn male human to be redeemed, while the firstborn-male of every clean animal was to be sacrificed by the Priest. What was sacrificed was a tithe to God, so that the rest could be redeemed (Numbers 18:15). JESUS was God’s sacrificial tithe, which allowed you an I to be redeemed instead of sacrificed.

Going through the process to become a woman of purpose can seem like a battle. Just remember that God promised to fight your battles. Your job is to fight the good fight of faith: perhaps the most difficult thing you will ever do.

The reason why fighting with faith is sometimes a struggle is because you were not made for war. Fighting is the job of your angels of protection. You do not get a free pass from tribulation because of believing. You must carry your cross and keep your eyes on the prize of heaven and the high calling of God.

That prize comes at some cost. It costs you everything you’ve got within. Your life is like an olive. You are anointed of purpose. However, you oil will not be expressed until you are pressed like the olive. This journey of purpose will express the oil of your soul.

Before I formed you in the womb I knew [and] approved of you [as My chosen instrument], and before you were born I separated and set you apart, consecrating you; [and] I appointed you as a prophet to the nations Jeremiah 1:5 AMP

I was once shunned for redeeming cans in a recycling center because it was thought that this employ was only for beggars. However, I believe in doing things to decrease the carbon footprint of people on the earth. We need to care for the earth because the next generation needs a temporary home (heaven is our eternal home).

Even God recycles – and He is no beggar. He takes lives marred by sin, full of wickedness, and recycles them. He preserves the body and re-fills the soul with His Spirit. What would happen if God simply crushed and discarded every sinner? The world would overflow with spiritual trash heaps. There are people on the fringes of life who feel abandoned. However, God IS concerned. He is waiting for a heart condition of worship and prayer to be pursued more fervently than an accolade or achievement. Are you empty, broken, crushed, in need of recycling? Your price for redemption has already been paid. All you have to do is receive Christ.

⁹ That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. ¹⁰ For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. ¹¹ For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. ¹² For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. ¹³ For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. Romans 10:9-13

¹⁴ And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: ¹⁵ That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. ¹⁶ For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. ¹⁷ For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. ¹⁸ He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 3:14-18
